fluid.vision creates an inclusive and safe environment for our community. Our events are primarily attended by these communities of marginalized people and their allies. We hope to welcome not only people of every color, sexual orientation, ability, and gender identity but also people of all professions and financial means.
We aim to keep our parties independent, affordable and accessible.
We believe that all guests should be aware of their privileges, and be mindful to not take space and voice away from historically underrepresented demographics. This event is specifically made for those who break free of gender norms, and come from a wide spectrum of racial backgrounds, so those identifying with white hetero/cis-normativity should be especially mindful.
Exposure and spotlight are given to groups of people who haven't received enough recognition from the Berlin scene. The goal of this collective and event series is to not only be a safe space for marginalized communities, but also a platform to share performance, art, and knowledge. With congregation and solidarity comes organization and power. The Fluidity party is a foundation for people to connect and collaborate to continue to advance the understanding of each other and our collective culture.
As we create a free space open for experimentation, we understand the reality of substance abuse and strongly promote harm reduction. We aim not to stigmatize any behavior, but rather provide educational resources and supplies to help people be safer in their practices and better understand their own consumption habits.
As assault and substance consumption are linked, we urge guests to check in on one another, monitor each other's consumption levels, ensure everyone feels happy and safe on the dance floor, and contact awareness if there are individuals who are acting out of conduct.
Despite the promotion of sex-positivity in the Berlin party scene with the popularization of queer culture, sexual abuse and assault still regularly occurs at parties. While it would sadly be impossible to administer a 100% safe sex party, we actively and diligently take steps to reduce harm. With awareness teams, sex education, FLINTA dark rooms, and promoting an attitude of empathy, consent, and caring among guests, we hope to continue to expand our communities' ideas around safe sex and use the party's platform to continue to advance the dialogue.
